SAP Concur Celebrates 2021 Innovation Award APAC Nominees
Celebrating our customers is the highlight of our annual customer event, SAP Concur Fusion. We showcase their achievements through the SAP Concur Innovation Awards, which honor customers who embody digital innovation and purpose-driven business practices.
From Asia-Pacific alone, we have 11 nominees who have transformed manual, travel and expense (T&E) processes into modern and automated T&E systems that have made a powerful impact on their employees, their business, and their communities, both locally and globally.
We’re grateful to all our Innovation Award nominees for making us a part of their organization and for sharing their experiences. Now, let’s meet the 2021 Innovation Award nominees from the Asia-Pacific:
Doosan Digital Innovation (DDI): Global IT service provider DDI understands the positive impacts that technology can have on productivity and efficiency. Said DDI’s compliance officer, “Since the introduction of Concur, we have been able to shorten business hours, improve ease of use, and improve employee compliance with expense policies and regulations through business automation at all stages of expense management,” said a Hae Chul Cho.
Getinge Holding B.V & Co. KG: As a global medical technology company, Getinge appreciated that standardizing on a single global solution for its expense needs would increase transparency, meet local tax compliance rules, robust integration with SAP, and do away with the inefficiencies of using multiple software platforms. “We [now] understand more about our employees expense claims and are able to guarantee global compliant expense procedures… identify the high-risk claims… and continually maintain compliance,” said Jörg Funck, Group IT, Director IT Applications APAC & MEA.
Hinduja Global Solutions: “Concur couldn’t have been introduced to us at a better time. The pandemic is forcing every organization to go back to their drawing boards in digitizing their paper-based processes. Implementation of Concur only reinforces our preparation in adapting to the next-gen working environment, that’s led by a growing Gig economy. Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages (HCCB): As a leading beverage manufacturer in India, HCCB understands the importance of digitalization to achieve sustainable, quality growth. With SAP Concur, HCCB has saved up to INR 3.6 MM with paperless reimbursement, and is on track to experience 23% cost savings in the next three years because it has optimized the Travel Allowance (TA) process by using SAP Concur with GPS tracking and Goods and Services Tax (GST) claimable on hotel spend.
iCare: By partnering with SAP Concur, this Australia insurance provider has gained enhanced visibility over expenses that enabled further cost savings initiatives. It has also enabled the organization to automatically process more low value transactions in Concur, thus reducing the workload on the procurement and accounts payable teams. The organization now gets a more simplified workflow and more timely reports on the completion of credit card reconciliations.
[2021 Winner] Keppel Corporation: The Singapore-based multinational found SAP Concur to be an excellent T&E solution because of its ease of deployment and use. The integration of SAP Concur with Keppel’s existing systems helped automate a lot of work for finance teams and ensured employees received timely payments. “SAP Concur has provided a common platform to process T&E across our business units, ensuring greater financial governance and internal controls,” said Jason Chin, General Manager, Group Information Technology
SK Energy International: SAP Concur has streamlined SK Energy’s travel and expense process, which has led to greater employee satisfaction. What used to take seven steps for reimbursement now takes three, illustrating how SAP Concur has helped SK Energy to build a smart working culture and become more innovative. “The adoption of SAP Concur helped SKEI to transform from the stone age to the digital age,” said Seo Seok Won, CEO & President of SK Trading international.
TCL Overseas Marketing: With the rapid development of its overseas business, TCL knew how important it was for financial digital transformation in order to “support the business, have lean and efficient management, strengthen risk management and control, and to be empowered by digital transformation,” said a Mark Liu, Senior Finance Manager. The SAP Concur platform has helped TCL to quickly optimize business processes, and made it more convenient for employees to manage their travel and expense processing, to maintain good supplier partnerships, and achieve accurate management of internal cash flow.
Toto Asia Oceania: With the current unforeseen need to work from home due to the global pandemic, the implementation of SAP Concur proved to be timely for the wholesale and distribution company. Not only has Concur helped with digital transformation, but also simplified the management of its travel and expense processes. “2020 has placed an important focus on remote working, contingency planning and ease of deploying & using solutions/systems. We are now evaluating Concur Invoice as part of our digital transformation journey to achieve these goals,” said Rika Li, Business Planning Manager.
Yarra Trams: By partnering with SAP Concur, the provider of tram passenger services has streamlined its paper trail, eliminated the need for manual data entry for payments related to procurement and finance systems, and increased visibility of all invoices across the business and the status of those invoices. “With the move to remote working in 2020, the benefits of having cloud-based solutions such as SAP Concur have helped us to adapt and continue business operations in changing environments,” said Marc Walter, Chief Financial Officer.
Zensar Technologies: SAP Concur has completely revamped the travel and expense management experience for Zensar, a mid-tier IT services organization. Zensar has been able to achieve compliance levels of 95% and improved its process compliance from 70% to 95% with a significant decrease in disputes and exceptions, and has reduced the claim filing time by over 50%. “Concur has completely digitalized travel and expense management, allowing for real-time integration with existing ERP to provide consistent experience by connecting different stakeholders in complex travel management workflows such as travel suppliers, travel management companies, credit cards, vendors, mileage, apps, etc.,” said Prathamesh Kadam, Associate Manager, CIO Office.
